The Dirty Girl

The Dirty Girl growing system was designed with plant health as a top priority. By combining optimal moisture levels through capillary attraction and insertion aeration for abundant airflow, this system creates an ideal environment for roots and aerobic microbes to thrive.
Microbial communities play a vital role in the health and well-being of plants, requiring moist soil for mobility and air for survival. The Dirty Girl growing system effectively incorporates these essential elements, setting the stage for successful plant growth.

The air hose is connected to an air pump or aeration plumbing, which in turn connects to the Root Fan.
A cloth pot holds the soil above the water.
Root fan buried under the soil. Air is pumped into the soil through the root fan, allowing maximum root respiration.

On/off valves on both sides for connecting pods to each other allowing garden to be watered from a single reservoir. They are also used to isolate and flush soil.
Wicking pads are set in the water, releasing moisture through capillary action as the soil requires it.
